It started when I came across a nice, complete 1974 Kawasaki H1 500 cc engine.

The first things I needed was some 4130 tubing. I have dealt with Stock Car Steel & Aluminum for several years. They sell high quality USA made 4130 tubing and always have what I needed. Not only is the product they sell great, but their service is A++++++

Because of the race class I will be running I needed a 3 outlet, high flow petcock with remote shut-off. There is only one company that makes it, and they are the BEST! Pingel!!!

Because this is a bike that will be racing land speed many design features need to be met. First being, it needs stiffness but yet be subtle in areas because of racing on the salt. I decided to build a lugged design for this reason.
Next, it needs enough fuel to run 3 miles wide open throttle and then enough to get off the course.
The top of the motorcycle frame will only be 27" off the ground!

Here you can get a sense how low this bike really is! It will be 1 " lower since thwe frame is on a block keeping both wheels off the ground. What do you think?
